Dr. Kenneth Yam
Dr. Kenneth Yam attended the University of Toronto and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (General Practitioner) in 1988. Since graduating, he has worked as an associate in the prestigious Yorkville area, as well as Oshawa and downtown Toronto, before opening his practice in Newmarket.
Dr. Yam has a special interest in orthodontics, implants, as well as oral surgeries. As a general practitioner, he sees a wide variety of patients and enjoys being able to help them with all dental needs. Dr. Yam has been helping the Newmarket community achieve beautiful, healthy smiles for over 25 years now!
In his free time, Dr. Yam enjoys sports, such as tennis and downhill skiing, and spending quality time with his family.
Dr. Ramona Motakef
Dr. Ramona Motakef graduated from dental school in Iran, where she practiced dentistry in community clinics, as well as her private office, until immigrating to Canada in 2008. Since that time, she has graduated from the University of Toronto where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Motakef joined our practice in 2015 and since then has been working alongside our team of dedicated and caring dentists. She is also a part time clinical instructor in faculty of dentistry - University of Toronto.
In her spare time, Dr. Motakef enjoys reading, cooking and traveling.
Dr. Edmund Chung
Dr. Edmund Chung graduated from the University of Toronto, where he attained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Faculty of Dentistry in 2001. Since then, he has been working in family practice, and enjoys helping patients to achieve their dental health goals!
In his spare time, Dr. Chung enjoys travelling and spending time in the great outdoors with his family. His interests include skiing, camping, hiking, running, and cycling.
Dr. Joseph Rubner
Certified Endodontist Specialist
Dr. Rubner has been a member of our team for over 14 years. He is a specialist for root canal treatment. Joseph attended New York University for both his degrees in dentistry and his specialty certificate in endodontic. His hobbies include reading and playing hockey.
