Paula has been working with Dr. Yam since 1999 and is our Treatment Coordinator. She oversees all your financial, insurance, and treatment planning needs. She grew up in Newmarket and has been a resident of the area her whole life.

Paula graduated from the University of Toronto in 2001 with a degree in English Literature and when not at the office, she enjoys time spent knitting, skiing, doing photography, and is an award-winning writer! She is an active member of the Newmarket Creative Commons and is always furthering her knowledge through online university courses. 

The most rewarding part of her job at Yam Dental is being able to guide patients successfully through all kinds of treatments and experiencing the happiness of people who have had their smiles improved by Dr. Yam.

Stephany joined our team in 2008 after graduating from Everest College as a Certified Dental Assistant. While she mainly works at the front desk as our Accounts Coordinator, she also helps out with assisting the dentists and taking impressions. The most rewarding part of her job is the patient relationships made and maintained throughout the years.

Stephany grew up in Bradford and is fluent in Portuguese. As an active member of the Ontario Dental Assistants Association, Stephany takes continuing education courses to keep her knowledge current regarding different parts of dentistry. In her free time, Stephany enjoys spending time with her son, going for walks, and travel.

 

 

 

 

Anita

Anita has been with our office since the beginning. She joined the team in 1989 after graduating from the University of Toronto. She helps patients with their booking, billing, appointment needs and oversees all the office administration. Anita thrives on making sure our office is well organized so that we can deliver the best possible dental care. 

Born in Hong Kong, she moved to Toronto in 1985 but now lives in Richmond Hill. Anita speaks fluent Cantonese. When she is not working in the office, Anita helps with organizing events and fundraisers at her children’s school, as well as spending time with her family and her dog Ruby.
